Introducing Waitlists

Updated over a month ago

You can now create waitlists on Catlog to collect customer interest before a sale, product drop, or restock goes live.

A waitlist lets customers leave their name, email, and phone number to show interest in something you’re planning. When you’re ready to launch, you already have people waiting.

Why Waitlists Matter

Waitlists help you sell with more confidence.

  • See demand before you launch instead of guessing

  • Reach customers who already have buying intent

  • Launch calmly without scrambling on the day

  • Build a customer list you own, outside social media algorithms

How Catlog Waitlists Work

Catlog gives you a simple way to collect interest in one place.

  • A clean sign-up page customers can join in seconds

  • A shareable link you can post anywhere

  • A waitlist pop-up that appears on your store

  • All sign-ups saved automatically in your dashboard

No Google Forms. No extra tools.

How to Create a Waitlist

On web

  1. Log into your Catlog dashboard.

  2. Go to Orders.

  3. Click Customers.

  4. Select Waitlists.

  5. Click Create Waitlist.

On mobile

  1. Open the Catlog app.

  2. Open the side navigation

  3. Go to Customers.

  4. Tap the Waitlists tab.

  5. Tap Create Waitlist.

Add a name, a short description, and an optional end date, then save.

Once saved, your waitlist goes live immediately and Catlog generates a link you can start sharing.

Sharing Your Waitlist

You can share your waitlist link anywhere customers already see you:

  • WhatsApp

  • Instagram (bio, stories, DMs)

  • Telegram

  • Twitter

  • Direct messages

You can create multiple waitlists and share different links, but only your most recent waitlist appears on your store.

Viewing and Using Your List

Every time someone joins, their details appear in your dashboard in real time.

You can:

  • View all sign-ups

  • Export your list anytime

  • Use it later for launch messages or early access

Waitlists and Newsletters

Catlog also includes a newsletter sign-up pop-up on your store.

  • Newsletter sign-ups collect general customer details

  • Waitlists collect interest for a specific offer

Both are stored separately in your dashboard under Waitlists and Newsletters, and both can be exported whenever you need them.

This gives you a clean way to collect customer details all year.

When to Use a Waitlist

Use a waitlist for:

  • Product launches

  • Restocks

  • Sales or discounts

  • Limited offers

  • New collections

Anytime you want customers excited before you go live.

Summary

Waitlists help you understand demand, build interest early, and launch to people who already care.

If you’re planning something new, set up a waitlist first.
