Analytics

Numbers are only useful if they tell you something. Catlog's analytics are designed to do exactly that — to turn the financial data from your orders, expenses, debts, and store activity into a clear view of how your business is actually performing.

Financial Overview

The financial overview is your top-level dashboard. It brings together everything — money in, money out, and the difference between the two — in one place.

You'll see:

  • Total money in — from sales and other income combined

  • Total money out — expenses, refunds, and other outflows

  • Cash flow — the difference between the two

  • Net profit — after all costs are accounted for

  • Sales revenue and other income broken out separately

  • Outstanding debts — what customers owe you and what you owe others

  • Payment method breakdown — how your customers are actually paying you

  • Inflows vs. outflows chart — a visual of money moving in and out over time

This is the report that answers the question: is my business healthy right now?

Sales Analytics

Sales analytics goes deep on your revenue and order performance. You'll find:

  • Total sales volume and order count

  • Gross profit and net profit

  • Average sale value

  • Refunds and replacements

  • Fulfilment rate

  • Discounts applied

  • Pending customer debts

  • New customers acquired

  • Sales revenue trend over time

  • New vs. returning customers

  • Top products by revenue

  • Top customers by spend

  • Sales by product

  • Sales channel breakdown — where your orders are actually coming from

Storefront Analytics

Storefront analytics shows you how people interact with your online store before they place an order.

  • Unique visitors

  • Carts created and abandoned

  • Carts recovered

  • Orders placed

  • Returning customers

  • Average customer spend

  • Product views

  • Visits and cart creation trends over time

  • Top products by views

  • Top visitor locations

  • Device breakdown — mobile vs. desktop

This data helps you understand where you're losing potential customers and what products are drawing the most interest, even when they don't convert immediately.

Expense Analytics

Expense analytics gives you a full picture of your spending:

  • Total expenses and average expense value

  • Pending payments on partially paid expenses

  • Largest recipients by amount paid

  • Expense trend over time

  • Upcoming repayments

  • Expenses by status (fully paid vs. partially paid)

  • Expenses by category

Customer Debt Analytics

Across all your customer debts:

  • Total outstanding debts

  • Total recovered

  • Top debtors

  • Debt creation trend

  • Repayment trend

  • Debts by status

Other Income Analytics

  • Total other income received

  • Entry count

  • Highest single amount

  • Top sources of income

  • Income trend over time

  • Income by category

Daily Reports

Every day, you can access a report covering your orders and financial activity from the previous day. Daily reports include a full profit and loss breakdown — not just order counts and revenue, but your actual margins for the day.

This is the report for merchants who want to stay on top of their business day by day, not just month by month.

Filtering

All analytics sections can be filtered by currency and time period. If you operate in multiple currencies or markets, you can isolate the data for each one.

💡 Analytics are only as good as the data going into them. Businesses that record expenses accurately, mark debts correctly, and log other income consistently will get reports that are genuinely useful. Businesses that don't will see numbers that feel off — because they are.
